Milkweeds are a powerhouse plant! Not only are they the host plant for Monarch butterflies, but they also provide food for Queens, Soldiers, tussock moths, milkweed bugs, milkweed longhorn beetles, and a variety of pollinators. This workshop will introduce you to the many species of milkweeds found in the Rio Grande Valley, give you tips on how to grow them in your garden, and introduce you to the wildlife that use them.
