"Voces del Arte Popular: IMAS Mexican Folk Art Collection"
For the past two years, the International Museum of Art & Science has partnered with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and distinguished scholars and curators to research and expand accessibility to our Mexican and Latin American Folk Art Collection.
This exhibition presents works from diverse regions of Mexico, examined through an anthropological lens of materiality, cultural continuity, and community. Voces del Arte Popular highlights the symbols and icons that shape cultural identity in communities across Mexico and the United States, inviting visitors to explore the stories embedded in traditional craft.

IMAS Members are invited to an exclusive reception celebrating the exhibition’s opening. Admission is free for Members with pre-registration encouraged. Members may bring one non-member guest per Membership. Additional guests may attend for a $10 admission fee. Please present your Membership card and ID for entry. Memberships may be purchased online or at the door.
