Protecting Your Child from Cyberbullying
This workshop will provide parents with information necessary for understanding what cyberbullying is and
the impact that cyberbullying has on children with disabilities. Additionally, it will help parents understand
how cyberbullying affects students, where it commonly occurs, and how it differs from traditional bullying.
Parents will learn about the signs of cyberbullying, what they can do when it happens, and the laws that
protect students who have been cyberbullied. We will discuss what parents can do to reduce the risk of
cyberbullying, including teaching online safety.
