"Helping Birds Soar and Cats Thrive"
About This Event
Did you know that you can train your cat to walk on a leash as a safe way to enjoy the outdoors while protecting wildlife?! Cats can also live significantly longer lives when kept indoors. This talk will be a purr-fect opportunity to "paws" and reflect together with fellow animal lovers!
Join us as Samantha Sing, Volunteer and Education Program Coordinator at the Palm Valley Animal Society, leads an informative presentation about the services PVAS provides to our community, with a special focus on the Community Cat Program. Come learn with us about the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, its impact, and the ways community members can support and get involved.
KITTEN ADOPTION & CAN COLLECTION
• Kittens: Samantha will be bringing in kittens for everyone to "meet & greet"! You can even adopt one!
• Can food collection: PVAS is also currently in great need of pâté-style canned food for cats and kittens. While donations are greatly appreciated, they are not required to attend.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Samantha Sing is the Volunteer and Education Program Coordinator at Palm Valley Animal Society. Originally from New York City, she volunteered at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center known as the Wild Bird Fund and worked in the Insectarium and Butterfly Vivarium at the American Museum of Natural History. Her favorite bird is the Rock Dove, but after moving to the Rio Grande Valley in August 2025, she quickly fell in love with the Grackles.
