New Arrival! "Commander" by Melvin C. Warren CA (1920 - 1995), Limited edition bronze 58/60 Melvin Warren was an early Cowboy Artist of America artist and gold medal winner who worked in both painting and sculpture. His years working on ranches in Texas and California gave him insight and appreciation for the life of the working cowboy. While at Texas Christian University pursuing a degree in the Fine Arts, cowboys and western scenes became his primary subject. The subject for this piece, the longhorn known as "Commander," was rendered in both painting and the detailed bronze sculpture you see here. This piece is currently on display and available for purchase. With his dark cloak consuming all the space around him, Darth Nihilus leaps from a fragmented tomb surrounded by barren desert landscape. The weathered red rocks turn to the rusty color of dried blood when illuminated by this vicious villain’s Lightsaber™. He drains Force energy from every creature on his quest to preserve his own life, turning his heart as black as the robes he wears. This fully sculpted quarter scale Darth Nihilus collectible is inspired by designs from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic™ video games. Inlaid with a sharp silver centerpiece, a smooth porcelain-like mask hides a gaunt face and obsidian eyes ravaged by the dark side.
