While they're rarely seen in the Rio Grande Valley, a juvenile Bald Eagle was spotted in the area just last Fall! Did you know that Bald Eagles build the largest nests of any North American bird? 🪺 Some nests have been recorded at 10 feet across, 12 feet deep, and weighing up to 2000 pounds, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
