As we close out 2025, we’re reflecting on the many meaningful ways the McAllen Farmers Market helped our community access fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. This year marked incredible growth, with 7,815 WIC FMNP vouchers distributed and $2,200 in Double Up Bucks provided to help local families stretch their food dollars and shop healthier. Later in the year, we were proud to partner with the Raul Tijerina Jr. Foundation and Texas Local Food to launch Farmers Market Buddy Bucks for.a limited time, encouraging neighbors to bring a friend and discover even more locally grown produce together. What an incredible year it has been. Kreative Grounds is officially opening our space for collaboration with local artists and artisans of all kinds. Each month, creatives are invited to host their own workshops in our space. This can look like a one-time event, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly workshops. Whatever best supports your practice. This is a collaborative experience, so self-promotion is required. Creators will be responsible for designing their own flyers and promotional content. We’re happy to share your event on our social media and post flyers around the shop, and we encourage you to print extra flyers to share locally and create content to help promote your class. To reserve the space, there is a 30% commission fee, which will be deducted from the total workshop earnings. If your workshop is free to attend, the space may be reserved for $25 per hour. 📩 Message us for availability details or with any questions. On Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, our team here at Casa de Palmas, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, had the most heart-warming experience working together to support children in our Rio Grande Valley community. We collected hundreds of toys for the wonderful children at Casa Mami Orphanage, the Vannie Cook Children’s Cancer Clinic, and Proyecto Desarrollo Humano. Thanks to these incredible organizations, many deserving children will now receive a special gift this Christmas. It was our pleasure and privilege to join with our community partners—including Debi Lou Modeling Academy—to give back to our neighbors and local families in need. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to support, participate in, and contribute to such meaningful efforts.
