The contest encourages students to explore the value of water in their daily lives, reflecting on its importance in our community, environment, and future. Participants are challenged to express their creativity while considering the role water plays in sustaining life and the responsibility we all share to conserve this vital resource. 2025 marked the third year of MPU hosting this contest, which featured an impressive array of paintings and drawings from students across the city. The theme this past year was “Clean Water, Clean Future.” Each piece highlights water and its beauty, significance, and the importance of smart water usage, offering unique perspectives and creative interpretations of the theme. The students’ artwork provides viewers with an engaging and meaningful visual experience. The winning and participating artworks are proudly displayed in this exhibit as a celebration of creativity, education, and environmental stewardship. She was already a skilled home cook, but lessons like proper knife technique and how to julienne a bell pepper became lifelong foundations—ones that would eventually shape Reserva’s food program. Fast forward to 2026, and now we get to share our coffee knowledge with his class. We recently hosted the UTRGV College of Hospitality & Tourism’s Beverage Appreciation students at Reserva Roastery, walking them through coffee from bean to cup and how to discern coffee preferences from guest to guest. Fun fact: students in this class get exclusive access to the Reserva’s Roastery 👀 Huge thank you to Chef Marcel and his students for the great energy, curiosity, and years of friendship along the cook’s way 🤍
